Public Consultations are an essential part of the planning process for all developers and land promoters, and here at The Promotional Edge we make the process of website development for individual sites simple and very cost effective for the client. We completed three consultation sites in one month for the Reside Group, including finalising the copy and sourcing imagery and working effectively with the PR company.
This year it’s been more important than ever to keep in touch with clients. The Reside Group asked us to write and design their 2020 corporate newsletter which they then shared online. Five informative pages of news, updates and award wins, which we thoroughly enjoyed writing and sourcing images for.
We had the lovely task of designing and printing a set of business cards for the Marks & Ayling design studio/shop in Petworth. With such beautiful products and furnishings, it wasn’t a difficult project.
We have been busy this month working with Reside Developments on two Planning Consultation websites.
These projects needed a quick, efficient turnaround and we worked closely with all parties to successfully meet the deadlines.
Working with interiors company Marks & Ayling was
an absolute joy. Showcasing their beautiful products
within an easy to use, functional website format has allowed them to expand their digital presence and increase sales.
We were delighted to finalise the complete refurbishment of Searls Land’s website. Our creative team designed a fresh new look and thoroughly enjoyed reflecting the company’s sense of fun as well as their professionalism
Following the outstanding success of The 2019 Surrey Property Awards in November last year, TPE organised an informal January get-together for the sponsors and nominated charity.
Councillor Marsha Moseley, the Deputy Mayor of Guildford, joined the group at the Guildford office of the awards' Headline Sponsor, Charles Russell Speechlys, and, in addition to thanking the sponsors, commented on the importance of The Surrey Property Awards and businesses supporting each other. Over £10,000 was raised on the evening, with all the auction proceeds going directly to the nominated charity, Challengers in Guildford..
The 10th Surrey Property Awards has been heralded as our best so far. A record sell-out audience attended what is now widely recognised as the largest event of its kind outside London and was treated to a night of red-carpet glitz, glamour and superb entertainment from TV personality Gyles Brandreth and actor and co-founder of the Guildford Shakespeare Company Sarah Gobran, who compered the glittering back tie event.

TPE organised another hugely successful event for Abbot’s Hospital in Guildford, this time
celebrating the Hospital’s 400 th anniversary year.
In the company of Lord and Lady Onslow and the Mayor and Mayoress of Guildford, residents and
Guildford dignitaries enjoyed a superb Gaudy luncheon, which was followed by speeches from the
Master, Michael McKechnie and Guest of Honour, Lord Onslow, who explained that the word
‘hospital’ derived from old English meaning ‘hospitality’. The Chairman of the Governors, Peter
Souster, commented on the commendable legacy left by the Founder, George Abbot and summed
up the past year’s events at Abbot’s Hospital.
A brief from Savills (South East Development team) and Reside Developments presented TPE with
one of its most interesting event challenges to-date which was to find a community project where
the teams could make a difference.
The 6th Lewes Scout Hut, which was in need of major attention following a night of vandalism, was to
be the challenge. Over two days the 50 strong army tackled jobs such as installing a new kitchen,
WC’s, stud walls, the creation of a sensory room, electrical works, external ground clearance and the
building of a fire pit with amphitheatre.
With just minutes to spare, the hut, which had undergone substantial internal and outside
refurbishment, was ready to be handed back. In the company of the Conservative MP for Lewes,
Maria Caulfield, eager Cubs, Beavers, Scouts, Leaders and parents congregated to admire the teams’
monumental DIY success.
Having been given the brief of finding a suitable community project for its clients, Reside Developments and Savills South East Development Team, The Promotional Edge identified the 6th Lewes Scout Hut which was in need of considerable restoration and refurbishment. The Hut suffered serious damage after a night of mindless vandalism and ever since the Scouts and other community groups that use the Hut have had an almost nomadic existence. In October, Reside Developments and Savills will leave their day jobs for the ultimate challenge and to give something back to a deserving community. At TPE we love celebrations, so we were delighted to organise a client’s birthday party, for
approximately 100 guests, on a 1920s paddle steamer on the Thames. The black-tie event was a
huge success and even the weather was perfect, resulting some stunning views of the London
skyline (see Showcase for testimonial).
We are delighted to have just completed the Searls Land Summer Newsletter in celebration of the Company's 10 year anniversary.
TPE organised a hugely successful celebration at Abbot’s Hospital in Guildford in honour of
their 400 year anniversary. On a sunny Saturday afternoon, residents and guests gathered
in a beautifully decorated marquee in the gardens – which were in full bloom -, where they
enjoyed a delicious vintage-style afternoon tea. A stunning painting of the current residents,
created by prominent local artist, Jane Allison, was then unveiled by the Lord Lieutenant of
Surrey, Michael More-Molyneux, after which a specially designed celebration cake, cleverly
displaying a picture of the founder George Abbot, was cut by Sarah More-Molyneux.

We are delighted to be working with our very own celebrity chef at a number of the events
we organise. Having trained with Michel Roux Jnr and worked for a number of celebrities,
including Michael McIntyre, Chrissy Hynde and The Stranglers, Chef Anthony brings
creativity, professional expertise and superb presentation to our events - from vintage teas to
fine dining, and anything in between!
The Promotional Edge is once again delighted to be organising the region's premier property event - The Surrey Property Awards.

Ex-rugby legend and Celebrity Masterchef finalist, Martin Bayfield, hosted a sell-out Surrey Property Awards this year.
Co-hosted by the Mayor of Guildford, the Awards celebrated the very best companies from Surrey’s property sector. The packed audience enjoyed an extremely entertaining after dinner speech from Martin followed by the glittering trophy presentations. OCTOBER
Organising a private dinner event for over 30 guests is something that the events team at The Promotional Edge regularly take in their stride.
However, it was an absolute honour to be able to host the event in one of the oldest and most historic buildings in the heart of Guildford, adding a new and memorable dimension to the occasion.
JULY
Corporate sales incentive trip for property client to Venice over three days.
The Promotional Edge organised private boat transfer, hotel, restaurant reservations and facilitated private tours for the group.
SEPTEMBER
The Promotional Edge was delighted to be asked to organise a two-day team building event for a major blue chip company.
Offering a private chef, challenging team exercises and a stunning private house setting, the event was recognised as a huge success.
APRIL
The Promotional Edge was tasked with sourcing a private chalet for a corporate client who wished to entertain a very select group of high-worth clients in the Alps.
Going above and beyond the brief, the Event Team ensured the company enjoyed superb catering, luxury accommodation and even guaranteed the snow!
